Come join us at Rhythm Section at Artthaus Studios for a day filled with music, creativity, and learning. This event is designed to help you take your DJ and Music Production skills to the next level while connecting with some of the Industry's top DJs. Network with fellow DJs, attend a workshop, and vibe out through the evening.
DJs are at the core of so many events, but what we realized was that these same working DJs don't get as many opportunities to connect with one another outside of a gig to learn and/or enhance specific skills that are crucial to their long term success in the industry. So here it is - your chance to pick some brains, have those conversations you haven't had time to have, and learn from your peers.
ℹ️ Our first session of the day is Music Production Techniques with the amazing Kutcorners, where you will learn how to take your ideas and make them into remixes or edits that help you create a sonic identity.
⚡️ Who is Kutcorners?
Kutcorners is a Vancouver-based DJ, producer, and instrumentalist known for blending R&B, funk, and jazz-influenced sounds into house-driven remixes and original tracks. He frequently shares music production techniques via social media and in person workshops like Sound Lab
ℹ️ For our second session of the day, Cutso will guide participants through the process of creating an electronic press kit that will help boost bookings and leave an impression with potential clients. The workshop also features Limited Slots to get a professional headshot done AT Sound Lab!
⚡️ Who is Cutso?
Cutso is a Bay Area DJ, producer, and creative force known for his razor-sharp technique, genre-bending sets, and deep contributions to hip-hop and club culture. With over two decades behind the decks, he's built a name on both skill and authenticity, bridging underground grit with polished execution. He has clocked in years of experience in touring and artist support across many stages and festivals around the world, from the US to Asia. A founding member of The Bangerz and longtime turntablist, Cutso has evolved from battle stages to solo production, remixes, and dynamic live sets that move across sound and scene. His production and remix prowess can be heard in the Jabbawockeez’ long-running Las Vegas show, as well as in the DJ sets of many renowned DJs around the world. Cutso is also the founder of First Wav Preservation Society, a DJ school and cultural hub dedicated to preserving the roots of DJing and nurturing the next wave of selectors. Currently, he hosts Culture Shock, a weekly mixshow on LL Cool J’s Rock The Bells Radio on SiriusXM. Whether behind the decks, behind the boards or in the classroom, Cutso brings a seasoned, grounded perspective on music, identity, and the work it takes to stay in the game.

1 - Music Production Techniques with Kutcorners:
Learn music production techniques and explore a classic track breakdown and recreation with Matt “Kutcorners” Perry.
2 - Find your FLOW Workshop: Build a Content System That Attracts the Gigs You Want with DJ Flow:
This workshop is a 5-module framework designed to help DJs and creatives stop guessing and start posting with intention. You’ll use the FLOW Framework to get clear on what you’re working toward, tighten your message, lock in your content pillars, build a workflow you can repeat, and create a simple strategy you can run for the next 30 days.
You’ll leave with:
- A clear Dream Gig goal and what your content needs to do to support it
- A one-sentence throughline (your brand message) you can build around
- 3–5 content pillars and repeatable post ideas you can pull from anytime
- A sustainable workflow for capturing, organizing, repurposing, and scheduling content
- A platform + posting strategy and a 30-day action plan based on your FLOWS Scorecard results
If you’ve been posting consistently but not seeing the right opportunities—or you’re stuck and don’t know what to post—this is your reset. The goal isn’t to post more. The goal is to build a system that makes your content actually work for you.
